Job Description:
We are looking for an applicant that has experience in broad spectrum financial practice for small businesses or organizations. An ideal candidate should enjoy data entry and exhibit superb organizational skills, an extreme attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving skills, and have experience using QuickBooks. This position provides integral day-to-day support for the management of Lexington Habitat’s internal financial processes and reporting. The Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper should be able to: efficiently gather, enter, and distribute financial information; analyze, design and implement reporting structures that ensure compliance and support operations (including grant reporting); and effectively communicate policies and procedures to a diverse range of stakeholders (managers, employees, homeowners). Experience Required:
-Integrity, credibility, and commitment to Habitat’s mission -Ability to relate to people with diverse backgrounds -Successful track record in organizing, entering and analyzing data -Aptitude for problem-solving and multi-tasking. -Extreme attention to detail -Ability to think critically and creatively and work independently -Excellent written and oral communication skills -Experience using QuickBooks strongly preferred -Strong proficiency with products such as Word, Excel, Outlook -Demonstrated ability to record, analyze, and report high-quality financial information -Three (3) years of experience in broad spectrum financial practice for small business or organizations -Bachelor’s Degree Willingness and ability to learn new skills, software, processes-
