About us
The Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association services 125 counties across greater Kentucky and southern Indiana. More than 6 million Americans are living with the disease and more than 185,000 of them reside in our service territory. At our organization, we provide education programs for people living with dementia, caregivers, professionals and community members. Part of the education, includes an emphasis on self-care. We offer Caregiver Support Groups throughout the state; including two Early Stage support groups. We are there for our community, through out 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900), supported by master-level clinicians and social workers. Our organization offers a platform at the local, state and national level of government, for our families, professionals impacted by Dementia to share their stories to enact change. Our Mission: The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Our Vision: A world without Alzheimer’s disease and all other dementia.
