Event Description:
Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with Parkinson's? Join us for an informative presentation by Janet Greene. Janet is a UK Alum and has worked as the Outreach Director for the Parkinson’s Support Center of Kentuckiana. She has written training materials and is the current Outreach and Education Manager for the University of KY Movement Disorders Program. She frequently travels across the state educating and encouraging patients and families about Parkinson’s Disease. She is also the Research Coordinator for Parkinson’s Disease clinical trials at UK. Not only does she work within Kentucky, but she also participates with national Parkinson’s Disease organizations in outreach efforts across the United States. For a minimum donation of $5, we will be proving a dinner buffet starting at 6pm with presentation starting approximately 6:30pm and immediately following a glow-in-the-dark balloon/lantern release to shed light on the importance of Parkinson’s research and education. All proceeds will go to Parkinson’s Research.
Directions:
Located off Richmond Road just past St. Joe East and before you get to Jacobson Park.
