@330 Features Employees Under Construction: 21st Century Skill Set
Business leaders give a resounding YES to improving productivity, customer service and employee attitudes. Yet, most are scratching their heads as they increasingly find employee soft skills, including critical thinking, teamwork, creativity and discipline, lacking.
With the backdrop of a rapidly-changing world where trust and loyalty are compromised, Sylvia Lovely from SteinGroup, LLC, will show you how you can provide the opportunity for every employee to develop the skill set that leads to a win/win in every important measurement – for you and for them.
During the next @330 Series event presented by Manpower of Central Kentucky on Tuesday, September 13, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at Commerce Lexington’s first floor conference room, attendees will learn why developing soft skills for employee success and productivity is more important than ever, how leadership development is fundamental to soft skill building, and steps a business leader can take to develop employee leadership potential that encompasses soft skills.
Sylvia Lovely served for twenty years as CEO of the Kentucky League of Cities, an association consisting of 380 member cities throughout the Commonwealth. She has written two books: The Little Red Book of Everyday Heroes and America's New Cities: The Little Blue Book of Big Ideas. Her newest book published in the summer of 2016 is “Dodging Coconuts, How to Survive the Storm and Rebuild Your Life,” a business memoir filled with leadership learning lessons. In addition to her work at SteinGroup, Sylvia is a co-owner of Azur Restaurant and Patio, Brasabana, and Dupree Catering. She and Chef Jeremy co-host Food News and Chews, a radio program devoted to exploring the world of food and its relationship to community. Her core competencies include leadership development and coaching, facilitation, writing, hiring and retention strategies, and assisting individuals and organizations in facing the issues of our era.
