Event Description:
Join us for the 6th annual Go Green, Save Green Workshop sponsored by Lexington-Fayette County Urban Government. We will have new session topics and new speakers, from businesses and organizations all over the state. As always, this workshop offers something for everyone, whether you're just getting started on green initiatives, or you're a seasoned green professional. ANY business or organization can benefit from attending this event, including YOURS! New speakers and expanded topics will include: Green Jobs Sustainable Development Sustainable Landscaping Renewable Energy Market Passive Housing and Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Net Zero Homes West Liberty Rebuilding Efforts Stormwater Best Management Practices Grants for Efficiency and Water Quality Recycling and Waste Reduction We kick off the event at 8:30 am with your choice of a tour of the new LEED Certified Bluegrass Community and Technical College campus or a tour of the Lexmark facilities. Meet us down the street at Blue Stallion Brewing Company, 610 West 3rd St, Lexington, KY for networking and happy hour to end the day. Registration includes entrance to all sessions, zero-waste breakfast & lunch, and one drink ticket for Blue Stallion Brewing Company. Free, ample parking is available at BCTC.
