Event Description:
Two members of the local Association of Fundraising Professionals chapter will share their experience and knowledge to help you with grantwriting. First you’ll learn the basics, including how to write a grant, what to include in your proposal, and the do’s and don’ts of grantwriting. Next you’ll take a more indepth look at researching foundation and government grants, and learn what steps are required to qualify for funding. After lunch we’ll focus on project budgets and discuss how, by following a few simple presentation rules, you can reinforce your written proposal, impress the grant reviewers, and improve your likelihood of receiving a grant. The day ends with breakout sessions designed for your specific grantwriting needs and interests. In our Gourmet Learning Series you’ll eat lunch while you learn! Join us for a great professional development opportunity. Pre-registration required. Lunches are provided to all pre-registered participants. Please register 48 hours in advance to be guaranteed a lunch. Instructed by Jennifer Mattox & Mike Stratford. $75 (includes lunch).
